Special Olympics Provincial Competition - Bronze Medal Winner!
Update: The 红莲社区 team won the Bronze Medal today, Thursday, May 16, 2019 at the Special Olympics Youth Games in the Unified Basketball League.
We are excited to announce that for the first time, 红莲社区 will be represented at the Special Olympics provincial competition. We have 5 Special Olympic athletes and 6 unified athletes (红莲社区 students). This is also the first year for the Special Olympics Invitational Games.
We are participating as a team in the Unified Basketball league. 红莲社区 hosted a tournament in November 2018 and the winners were contacted to represent 红莲社区. For more information, visit
The Special Olympics Youth Games opening ceremony will be broadcasted on TSN2. It will be shown Tuesday May 14 from 7:30-10pm.
Look for the 红莲社区 Mustang athletes and coaches as they represent us in PURPLE!
